Havens will partner with the sales team with an emphasis on creativity, design and strategic thinking, which he said are increasingly important differentiators in promo.
“I’m excited to help Image Source continue building in those areas while supporting the growth of both its people and its business,” Havens said.
Havens began his career with Counselor Top 40 distributor Nadel (asi/279600) in sales, before founding Catalyst Marketing in 1999. He grew to more than $25 million in annual sales, providing design for branded merchandise and creative services for clients like Microsoft, Starbucks and Nintendo.
After Catalyst Marketing was acquired by Counselor Top 40 distributor HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) in 2017, Havens worked on expanding HALO’s creative service capabilities for five years. In May 2023, he was named senior vice president of sales at supplier Greater Pacific (asi/58135), where he worked on creating a sales training process and helped to implement a new enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management system. In 2025, he added his expertise to Exec to Coach, a business coaching firm meant to help small and medium-size companies.
“Few people in our industry bring the combination of sales leadership, entrepreneurial experience and creative vision that Tom does,” said Tom Goos, president and CEO of Image Source. “His experience building high-performing organizations and developing strong teams will help support the next phase of growth for our company.”
In his new position, Havens will lead the sales team at Image Source to boost revenue through coaching and strategic planning and work to strengthen client relationships. Image Source was named as one of the 2026 Counselor Best Places to Work in part due to company programs that make a difference and build employees’ pride, including events like holiday parties, craft nights and barbecues.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been most energized by helping people and organizations grow,” said Havens. “The people, culture, leadership team and direction of the company made it clear that Image Source was the right fit. I’m excited to work alongside a talented team and contribute to the company’s continued success.”
