“Amelia has spent her career helping suppliers and distributors grow together,” said Bill Grassmyer, CEO of Giftogram, MediaTree’s parent company. “She knows the people, she knows how this industry buys and she has earned its trust. We built MediaTree to give distributors a serious seat in the gift card market, and Amelia is the right person to take that message to them.”

Madl has worked in the promotional products industry since 2012. Most recently, she served as vice president of sales at PromoCorner and previously held sales roles at DistributorCentral and Counselor Top 40 supplier Logomark (asi/67866). Some may also recognize Madl from her long-running monthly video series on PromoJournal, Madl’s Closet.

“I’m thrilled to join MediaTree at a time when gift cards and incentives are becoming central to how businesses engage employees and customers,” said Madl. “For distributors, this is a large and largely untapped opportunity. My 14 years across sales, marketing and technology give me a well-rounded view of how to build partnerships that last.”

According to Brian Duran, general manager of MediaTree, hiring Madl reflects a shift in the promotional products market toward branded gift cards and rewards.

“Gift cards are one of the biggest opportunities distributors are still leaving on the table,” said Duran. “There is nothing to decorate, store or ship, and the client already has the budget. What distributors need is a partner who makes it simple and stays out of the relationship. Amelia understands that better than anyone I know. I’m excited to have her leading this work with our partners.”

Founded in 1995, MediaTree has helped distributors and agencies sell branded digital gift cards and rewards to their clients. The supplier is owned by Giftogram, a corporate gifting and digital rewards platform based in Whippany, NJ.
