In the note, which the company also posted on LinkedIn, Adco expressed gratitude to customers and partners.
“Thank you from the whole team for your support over the years and we all wish you all the best for the future,” it read.
According to a report from Printweek, the firm had highlighted net liabilities of £127,054 (about $170,201). “It is therefore dependent on the continued support of its creditors to support its ongoing activities,” the report said. Directors took out an unsecured, interest-free loan of £140,464 (roughly $188,137).
Printweek also reported that in 2024, Adco Products incurred costs of £132,278 ($175,467) due to restructuring and redundancies. The firm reduced head count from 55 to 50 during that time.
Adco was founded in 2003 and is owned by Woodpecker Ltd. The company manufactures in the U.K. and EU, and offered products including notebooks, desk pads, notepads, sticky notes, branded packaging, note blocks and more.
The news comes as the European promo market is growing, with more North American distributors doing business with suppliers in the EU and U.K. According to ASI Research, the European promo market – including the U.K. – is worth roughly $14.8 billion.
