A transition to private equity ownership and a major leadership restructuring have made 2026 an eventful year for Trevor Gnesin and Clive Goldberg of Counselor Top 40 supplier Logomark (asi/67866).

In March, private equity firm Forge52 purchased a majority stake in the Tustin, CA-based firm. According to Gnesin and Goldberg, the transaction represented more than just a change in ownership structure. “It validated the strength of the company we have built over more than three decades and positioned Logomark for its next chapter of growth,” they tell Counselor. “Forge52’s investment brought not only capital, but also operational expertise, strategic resources, and a long-term growth mindset focused on manufacturing and distribution businesses.”

Goldberg, who joined Logomark in 2019 and was named president four years ago, succeeded company founder Gnesin in September as CEO. Gnesin will remain with the firm through the end of 2026 before transitioning to a position on the company’s board. The pair drops six spots on this year’s Counselor Power 50 list due to declining influence ratings from their Power 50 peers as well as Gnesin’s pending departure from day-to-day operations.

“While my title has changed from president to CEO, I’ve been deeply involved in the company’s operations, strategy and leadership for a long time,” Goldberg says. “The transition feels more like a natural evolution than a dramatic change. My focus remains on leading the business, supporting our employees and executing our growth strategy.”

Under Goldberg and Gnesin’s leadership this year, the supplier notched several accomplishments: expanding its warehouse capabilities, investing further in inventory and product development, and maintaining a reputation for customer service and product quality while navigating a particularly challenging economic environment.

AI Perspective

Goldberg: “AI has quickly evolved from an interesting technology to a practical business tool. At Logomark, we’re already leveraging AI to improve productivity, accelerate content creation, support data analysis, enhance customer communications and help our teams make faster and better-informed decisions. Like many organizations, we’re still in the early stages, but we’re seeing meaningful gains in efficiency across multiple departments. A key initiative already well underway is to improve our customer experience by making it easier and more intuitive for customers to search products, create client proposals and interact with our team.

Personally, I use AI regularly as a research assistant, writing partner and thought collaborator. It helps me process information more quickly, analyze alternatives and spend more time focusing on strategic decisions rather than administrative tasks.”
