Though the duo drop four spots on the Counselor Power 50 list, they’ve leaned into the future by quickly and furiously adopting new technologies and processes. “We’ve made massive advancements in our push to adopt and deploy AI throughout our entire business,” Mackay says. “We’re very impressed by our team to push to find new ways to use it.” They also launched new partnerships with three retail brands: Lion Energy, Puffin drinkware and Springland pet gear.

Regarding “doing what is right,” Mackay and David are committed to corporate social responsibility – and have the receipts to prove it. This year, SnugZ earned its Forest Stewardship Council certification, indicating its forest products (like paper and wood) were sourced sustainably and ethically. The company received the Green Business Award from Utah Business Magazine in 2024 for its commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate culture. The company also continues its partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps members of the U.S. military and veterans in need. Last year, SnugZ donated over $100,000 to the cause.
