Who in the business world do you most admire or strive to emulate? 

I really admire Mark Graham with commonsku. I love the part of his movement that says we’re not product-pushers or order-takers; we’re real agencies with a lot of talent that can help companies with their marketing efforts. I also admire Greg Muzzillo, founder of Proforma – he started with a stapler and a voice recorder and now he has offices all over the world!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

A mentor of mine told me that between “Networking” and “NOTworking” there’s only one letter difference. He told me you can find new leads and prospects in networking events and Chambers, but to make sure you allow time to grow and serve the accounts you already have.

What’s one thing you’d do to improve the industry?

I would create more initiatives to bring more young entrepreneurs into it. I’d also get rid of the price codes and huge print catalogs.

What’s on your business and personal bucket lists?

On my business list, I’d like to employ young people and show them how great a career this can be. On my personal list, I’d love to pay it forward and help immigrants starting a career in the States.

What’s one sentence you’d like to hear from your boss?

“Congratulations, you hit all your goals!”

If you could choose an age to remain forever, which would you choose?

I don’t know that I would pick one to remain forever. They all have their positive and negative aspects. Maybe I’d like to start again in my 20s with the knowledge and experience I have now!
