InkSoft Acquires Digital Art Solutions
InkSoft, maker of sales and production software for apparel decorators, has acquired Digital Art Solutions, which offers a range of production-ready graphics and software solutions for design, embroidery, signage and rhinestone production. Financial details of the acquisition, finalized June 3, were not released.
Digital Art Solutions will maintain its own brand identity, and will continue to be run by founder Craig Mertens. InkSoft and Digital Art Solutions will be managed from a centralized headquarters in Tempe, AZ.
Scott Allen, president of InkSoft, says the purchase of Digital Art Solutions will help his company bring solutions to two of the biggest challenges facing printers: sales growth and graphic design bottlenecks. “InkSoft’s purpose is to revolutionize the way print entrepreneurs do business, and this relationship will continue to make things easier for our industry,” he said in a statement. “We’re solving real-world challenges, and expanding our solutions to include the best and most respected art management system just makes a lot of sense.”
Mertens agreed: “InkSoft and Digital Art Solutions are a perfect fit. We will expand our reach and bring our graphics system to a larger audience. Together, [we] will provide a total solution for both sales and production.”
