In a Nutshell:
*Fullarton Group’s benefits include discounts, rebates, a central billing model, networking events and more.
*Membership is currently open for only Canadian companies in the promo industry, though there are plans to expand it to U.S. entities.
Fullarton Group, a buying group for Canadian promotional products distributors and suppliers, has officially launched in Canada. Fullarton Group is part of the London, ON-based Buying Group Services Inc.’s portfolio of companies, which serves a variety of industries such as energy, window & door, and car wash.
Membership benefits for Canadian distributors includes a minimum of End Quantity Pricing with preferred suppliers, the opportunity to earn rebates based on sales volume, savings programs, discounts in conjunction with other groups in Buying Group Services’ portfolio, and low membership fees.
In addition, Fullarton Group will offer a central billing model for streamlining the invoicing and payment process along with saving costs. It will also leverage the latest in ASI technology, including ESP, ProfitMaker and SmartBooks, and will host supplier product training events and exclusive networking opportunities.
“Fullarton Group will support and champion our members’ independence to run their businesses as they see fit,” general manager Keith Addis told ASI Canada, “and will help incorporate the sharing of best practices amongst all members, so they can become stronger and better-run businesses.”
Addis has 30 years of experience in the promotional products industry, including stints at Victorinox Swiss Army (asi/93755) and ESP Canada/K&R (now St Regis Group, asi/84592).
“We see the opening of a true buying group in our industry as a huge opportunity,” he said. “A true buying group centers on its members. Our number-one goal is to help our suppliers grow their businesses, and to help our distributors get the best suppliers and programs in each category to support their businesses along with these suppliers.”
While Fullarton Group membership is currently open only to Canadian distributor members, Addis says plans are in the works to welcome U.S. distributors in the near future.
The Fullarton Group team will attend the upcoming PPPC TOPS+ show in Vancouver in September, as well as Promo Expo’s Wild Wild West Promo Shows in Edmonton and Calgary.
