Infographic: Supply Chain Concerns in Canada
State of the Industry research for Canadian promo shows that supply chain-induced unease lessened between 2022 and 2023. Still, challenges persist.
In this first installment of our 2024 series of Canadian State of the Industry infographics, distributors report losing fewer orders due to supply chain issues in 2023. Meanwhile, about the same number of orders were delivered on time and without errors compared to 2022.
However, while supply chain disruption has improved from last year, distributors are still contending with challenges.
“Shipping costs from China have gone up due to factors like inflation, geopolitical disruption and fuel prices,” says Steve Schneidman, president of Solutions Ink (asi/525994) in Montreal. “Suppliers are also less likely to absorb any costs like they did in the past, perhaps because they’re contending with narrowing profit margins.”
