A Glimpse at the Company Behind the Official America250 Web Store
Fabritech, a Michigan-based distributor and decorator, is working with licensing agency Global Icons to create an array of merch for America’s upcoming semiquincentennial.
Key Takeaways
• Fabritech (asi/238153) is managing the official America250 online store, offering licensed commemorative merchandise coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
• The store features a mix of limited-edition and mass-appeal products at multiple price points, supporting America250’s goal of engaging all Americans ahead of the semiquincentennial.
• America250 licensing, overseen by Global Icons, includes more than 30 partners, with merchandise revenue supporting programs tied to the nationwide anniversary celebration.
A limited-edition, elite pickleball paddle. A 24-karat gold-framed Christmas ornament featuring the text of the Declaration of Independence. A laser-engraved maple and mahogany charcuterie board. A unisex hoodie emblazoned with 13 red stars and the words “We the People” in calligraphic script.
What do they have in common? They’re all products featured on the America250 official online store – a licensed site curated and managed by Jenison, MI-based Fabritech (asi/238153), a distributor and decorator with a focus on print-on-demand (POD) production, e-commerce and in-house warehousing and fulfillment.

In July 2025, the celebration of America’s semiquincentennial began, with President Donald Trump kicking things off during an event at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Back in 2016, Congress established the bipartisan U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission to plan programming centered around the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The America250 initiative has been orchestrating a slew of celebrations across the U.S. in the latter half of 2025 and into 2026, culminating in what is planned to be the largest anniversary observance in the nation’s history.
Of course, branded merch, much of it featuring the official red-white-and-blue America250 logo, is a big part of the celebration, with licensing of the initiative overseen by corporate brand licensing agency Global Icons. “America250 is not just a celebration – it’s the official celebration,” Bill McClinton, Global Icons president, told trade association Licensing International back in May. “We’re honored to help bring this historic moment to life through products that reflect the values, pride and creativity of the American people. And we’re just getting started.”

America250 created the official commemorative ornament of America’s 250th anniversary in partnership with the White House Historical Association. Designed and made in the United States, the limited-edition ornament is finished in 24-karat gold and features the text of the Declaration of Independence on one side and the official America250 logo on the other. Fabritech successfully pitched its vision for a POD-powered, e-commerce site, with Fabritech managing the marketing, development and fulfillment of a wide range of products, according to Jordan Jonker, president of the firm.
“Our goal is just to push this event as much as possible,” Jonker says. “It’s the celebration of America. We’re as patriotic as you can get here at Fabritech.”
The webstore has a mix of higher-priced, limited-run products (like the aforementioned pickleball paddles) and more affordable commemorative items, including T-shirts, keychains and stickers. The idea is to appeal to the widest range of Americans possible – America250 has set a goal of “350 by 250” to engage all 350 million Americans by the nation’s anniversary on July 4, 2026 – so that includes developing a variety of products with a variety of designs at a variety of price points. “An event like this could potentially be once in a lifetime for people,” Jonker says. “You’re not targeting just a small demographic; you’re talking to all Americans. We want everybody to celebrate this.”

Leveraging on-demand production is the backbone of Fabritech’s America250 strategy, allowing the company to come up with a variety of designs and products, without creating inventory risk. Apparel on the site includes images of the Liberty Bell, the Washington Monument, text from Article 1 of the Constitution and the text of the Declaration of Independence, among other graphics.
“We’re trying to find those big moments in American history and translate them onto products that look really nice,” Jonker says. And heading into 2026, “we’re going to get pretty focused and granular with some of the designs – getting into specific states or cities where events are happening.”
The other major priority for Jonker’s team has been sourcing as many items as possible from Made-in-the-USA suppliers and companies. Fabritech has an advantage since it works with the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard and already has many connections among American-based manufacturers, but Jonker notes that his team is still on the lookout for more partners to round out the America250 collection as the yearlong celebration continues.
A Range of Patriotic Products
In addition to the official merch store, America250 has made partnerships with a variety of companies to create licensed products and sponsor various celebrations. Back in March, for example, the Coca-Cola Company announced that it had a signature partnership with America250. It’s a continuation of the beverage brand’s long history of commemorating major national events. Consider that for the 1976 Bicentennial, Coca-Cola released a special-edition bottle. For the new celebration, the brand plans a series of commemorative initiatives and activations – and another special-edition bottle.

AmuseMints, a division of Counselor Top 40 supplier NC Custom (asi/44900), is a licensed merchandise partner of America250 for the souvenir, gift and specialty retail categories.
SymbolArts (asi/340864), a Utah-based distributor of custom badges and recognition products, was granted an exclusive license to create America250 badges, patches, pins and coins, specifically for public safety departments.
AmuseMints, a division of Counselor Top 40 supplier NC Custom (asi/44900), was named a licensed merchandise partner for the souvenir, gift and specialty retail categories. Licensed products include apparel, drinkware, snacks and confections, featuring the America250 branding.
“We are honored to be a partner with America250,” says Lance Stier, CEO of NC Custom and a member of the Counselor Power 50 list of the most influential people in promo. “Our merchandise collections are trend right and feature a great product selection across our categories.”
Other officially licensed products include America250 cigars from J.C. Newman Cigar Co., rolled at its 115-year-old El Reloj cigar factory, the last large cigar factory still operating in the United States. “It is our privilege to keep America’s historic cigar-making tradition alive by handcrafting exquisite cigars in America,” Drew Newman, fourth-generation owner of J.C. Newman told Cigar Aficionado in November.
Bevin Bells, the only dedicated bell manufacturer in the U.S., is making logoed cowbells, sleighbells and bell ornaments for America’s 250th.
Annin Flagmakers, the oldest and largest flag manufacturer in the U.S., is licensed to make commemorative flags for America250.
Revenue from America250 licensed products is earmarked to support programming surrounding the 250th anniversary celebration. Global Icons has signed more than 30 licensees to the initiative so far. The amount of money the licensed merchandise will raise isn’t yet clear. However, consider that Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 generated around $356 million, according to the Centre for Retail Research. And Canada invested $610 million in events around the country to mark its 150th anniversary in 2017. (The Canadian government at the time approved more than 6,200 applications for products featuring the official logo.)
Though America’s 250th birthday is still months away, there’s already been plenty of interest on the America250 e-commerce site, particularly for products featuring the official logo, Jonker says.
“The engagement from the audience has been tremendous already,” Jonker adds. “So, I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like coming into April, May and June, right before the Fourth of July.”
Details on America250 Licensing
The bipartisan U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, established in 2016, is chaired by former Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios. The commission is supported by America250.org, a nonprofit that’s facilitating public-private partnerships to bring the America250 initiative to life, according to the America250 website.
Global Icons is the exclusive licensing agency authorized to represent the official America250 trademarks, logos and assets. However, all products and partners are reviewed and approved by America250.org to ensure alignment with the initiative’s values and messaging. The agency has more than 30 official licensees so far.
