Ennis Inc. Acquires Two Pennsylvania-Based Printing Companies
The Texas-headquartered print/promo supplier purchased Eagle Graphics and Diamond Graphics.
Midlothian, TX-based Ennis Inc. (asi/52493) is expanding its footprint in the Keystone State.
The print/promo products supplier has acquired Annville, PA-based Eagle Graphics and Diamond Graphics of Bensalem, PA. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
“I want to welcome the employees and customers of Eagle Graphics and Diamond Graphics to the Ennis family,” said CEO Keith Walters. “Eagle and Diamond are well known brands that will grow our Pennsylvania presence along with National Imprint (NIC). These companies will strengthen our production capabilities to serve our large and growing customer base in the Northeast part of the country.”
Founded in 1976, Eagle Graphics specializes in a range of commercial printing solutions, including 8-color UV web printing, digital printing, security printing, jumbo rolls, traditional forms and direct mail.
Diamond Graphics began business in 1999 and is known for direct mail printing and what Ennis described as high-volume padding done for the nonprofit market. The Pennsylvania print operation “has a combination of presses that allow for flexibility,” Ennis added.
Ennis, a publicly traded company, has been on a hot streak when it comes to acquiring other companies. Recent acquisitions include UMC Print, Stylecraft Printing, School Photo Marketing, and Gulf Business Forms.
Ennis sells promotional products, business forms and supplies, checks and software-compatible forms, envelopes, custom business forms and presentation folders, among other items. In September, Ennis reported that its sales and earnings declined during the first six months of its fiscal year, which concluded Aug. 31.
