EcoPlum Debuts New Logo & Website

The logo embodies the eco-ethos that’s at the core of the B Corp distributorship’s identity, while the site features service-streamlining enhancements and an expanded array of sustainable products.

EcoPlum (asi/185835) has a new look – and much more.

The New York City-headquartered promotional products distributor has debuted a new logo and launched a completely redesigned website with enhanced features, while adding what it said are hundreds of additional products to its “Sustainable Swag” line of merchandise.

“We have been building this complete refresh of our brand identity for the past year, and our hope is that the contemporary redesign of our logo and website showcase our commitment to lead the promotional products industry into a sunny and eco-friendly future, free of wasteful and harmful products,” said EcoPlum President/CEO Gia Machlin.

As a certified B Corporation, operating responsibly toward people and the environment is central to EcoPlum. The new logo reflects that, executives said.

In shades of purple and spring green, the company name “is represented symbolically by the entwined leaf and plum,” according to a description from the firm. “The branding has been distilled and streamlined into two equal symbiotic parts in the new logo. The green ‘Eco’ and leaf embody renewal and the company’s environmental commitment, and the pure purple in the ‘Plum’ and plum motif stand for its premium plum offering of sustainable promotional products.”

The plum, the company further elaborated, references innovation and style, usefulness and function. One of the definitions for “plum” in the Cambridge Dictionary is “something very good and worth having,” executives noted.

Meanwhile, EcoPlum said the new website and a more seamless backend infrastructure will help improve customer experience. Upgrades include an integration of CRM (customer relationship management), ordering, artwork approval and automatic price updates.

“Every single page has been redesigned and implemented with updated information and functionality for improved quote requests and product inquiries,” EcoPlum said. “Promotional products clients will now be able to survey products more easily, assemble multiple products, and build quotes with more pricing transparency directly on the website before consulting an EcoPlum team member.”

EcoPlum’s curated collection of “Sustainable Swag” features items that, as the name implies, are environmentally friendly. The distributorship said it has doubled the number of such products on offer in the line, with items including recycled waist packs from brands like Osprey and Igloo and phone stands made from recycled chopsticks. New apparel, bags and drinkware are on offer, too.

The distributor is a member of the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty, and Machlin was a recent guest on the Promo Insiders podcast, discussing ideas for how the promo industry can reduce its reliance on plastic and sharing other sustainability strategies.
