LAT Apparel Hires Rachel Newman
The former HanesBrands executive will serve as chief commercial officer.
Ball Ground, GA-headquartered LAT Apparel (asi/65948) is welcoming an apparel-industry veteran to its executive team with the hiring of Rachel Newman as chief commercial officer.
In her new position, Newman, who previously held leadership roles at HanesBrands (asi/59528), will help steer LAT Apparel’s future and drive innovation.

While at HanesBrands, Newman served as vice president/general manager, overseeing the printwear and Hanes Apparel divisions; she also played a pivotal role as vice president of sales for Champion retail. She was a central figure in HanesBrands’ acquisition and development strategies, notably with the acquisition of Alternative Apparel and the successful launch and growth of its ComfortWash brand. In addition, she helped transform the Hanes Apparel business to build a thriving e-commerce platform, and she’s played a crucial role in developing relationships with major retailers like Macy’s and Kohls’ for the Champion brand.
Newman has a bachelor’s degree in international business from Bradley University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
