Obituary: Andy Morsink, Atlantis Headwear
The Vancouver man with a “volcano of ideas” was instrumental in helping Atlantis form its recent partnership with Sportsman Cap.
Andy Morsink, business development manager at Atlantis Headwear (asi/37380), died March 11 after a years-long battle with cancer. The Vancouver man was 56 years old.
In his role with Atlantis, Morsink helped the supplier increase its reach in the U.S. and Canadian promotional headwear markets. In 2019, he founded Dream Bigger Consultancy, meant to help European and North American companies explore and expand into the global market. In the past, he worked as director of sales at Fairware Promotional Products (asi/191452) and prior to that, he worked as international sales manager at Stormtech (asi/89864). He also spent several years as the managing director of sales at AFG Footwear.
“Andy had adventure, and it felt like he had been working with Atlantis for so many years,” said Federico Pasini, brand and sales director of Italian-based Atlantis Headwear. “Andy always stayed positive and was the lead in helping Atlantis Headwear form the recent partnership with Sportsman Cap. Andy was an inspiration to the Atlantis team.”
Alessandro Colle Tiz, Atlantis president, described Morsink as a “great, honest professional, and a person who always had a volcano of ideas.”
A GoFundMe created to support his wife and daughter described Morsink as “an exceptional husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker.”
“He had many gifts and touched all of our lives with his brightness and great humor,” according to the GoFundMe. “He mentored many people through business and in life; Andy wanted nothing more than to see others succeed.”
