The Bright Side: Charles River Donates $15,000 to Benefit Those in Need
Circle of Hope is a long-time charitable partner of the Top 40 supplier.
A Top 40 supplier continues to give back to the local community in a big way.
Sharon, MA-based Charles River Apparel (asi/44620) recently donated $15,000 to Circle of Hope, a nonprofit that provides more than 22,000 adults, college students and children experiencing homelessness in the Boston area with clothing, shoes, linens and hygiene essentials.
A long-time charity partner of Charles River, Circle of Hope has been working in Boston since 2008 and operates over 25 homeless shelters, healthcare clinics and community programs in the area. Charles River was also the headline sponsor last month for HOPE Blooms, Circle of Hope’s annual fundraiser.
“Circle of Hope is an outstanding organization,” says Deb Lipsett, principal of Charles River Apparel. “They go above and beyond to enhance the dignity and health of the local community through incredible volunteerism and partnerships with local police stations and other institutions. We look forward to continuing to make a positive difference with their dedicated, passionate team.”
Last year, Charles River donated $28,000 worth of garments to Circle of Hope. The apparel supplier has partnered with the nonprofit each year since 2010, with initiatives such as HOPE Blooms, employee volunteer events and in-kind donations.
“Charles River Apparel’s generosity and unwavering support over the past 15 years have helped Circle of Hope grow dramatically and deepen its impact on thousands of people experiencing homelessness,” says founder Barbara Waterhouse, who retired from the organization in late June. “I’m so grateful to the Lipsett family and Charles River Apparel for their commitment to health equity and helping those in deepest need.”
