Zing Manufacturing Scaling Back Product Offerings

Come the new year, the supplier will focus on selling S’well and Built branded products.

Zing Manufacturing (asi/99025), a Phoenix-based supplier, is about to dial back the range of items it sells in the promotional products industry.

The company said that starting January 1, it will only be accepting orders for S’well and Built products.

“The remaining Zing catalog will no longer be available,” a communication to distributor customers read.

S'well

While Zing Manufacturing (asi/99025) is reducing the range of items it offers, the supplier will continue to sell products from S’well, such as this reusable 17-oz. bottle. Built items will also be available.

A spokesperson for Zing described the change in go-to-market approach as a strategic refocus to core product lines. Headcount has been reduced as a result of the move.

Still, the company said that staffers remain on hand to help distributors.

The supplier indicated that distributors should direct order inquiries to orders@zingmfg.com. Additionally, questions or concerns can be addressed by reaching out to customerservice@zingmfg.com, where a customer service rep will assist, Zing said.

The Built brand includes drinkware, coolers and totes. S’well offers drinkware and bowls.

In January, Zing announced a partnership with Anker in which the supplier began selling technology products from the brand, including power banks, earbuds and Bluetooth speakers. Those items won’t be on offer from Zing come 2024.

For distributors seeking Anker products, Top 40 supplier Gemline (asi/56070) continues to offer a range of SKUs from the brand, as it has since 2019.

Zing has been in business for more than 20 years. The firm became the exclusive supplier of S’well drinkware to promo in 2021. Last year, Zing announced a partnership that enabled the company to sell Built drinkware and bags in the branded-merchandise market.

Over the summer, the company launched a redesigned website. Prior to that, Zing asserted that it had upgraded its warehousing and fulfillment services, on-demand printing, and personalization services. This year, Zing has also orchestrated the “100 Million Bottle Initiative” to help fight plastic pollution in oceans.
