Gomez joined the distributor and Counselor Best Place to Work in January 2021 and quickly rose through the ranks. He helped establish and lead the distributor’s account management function before transitioning into creative leadership. Gomez then went on to build and scale the company’s creative strategy team, shaping a more strategic, concept-driven approach to logoed merchandise and corporate gifting. He has served as the senior director of creative strategy for the last year and a half.

In his new role as VP of creative, Gomez will now oversee Brilliant’s creative strategy and design teams, leading sourcing, ideation, trend research, concept development and creative execution for hundreds of brands. He will continue advancing Brilliant’s creative capabilities, exploring emerging technologies and developing new approaches to how brands connect with their audiences through thoughtfully designed merchandise and gifting experiences, the company said.

Gomez’s creative contributions span campaigns and experiences for brands including Anthropic, Airbnb, Robinhood, Workday and Pinterest.

“Brilliant has grown tremendously over the past five years, and I’ve been fortunate to help shape what our creative offering looks like along the way,” said Gomez. “We get to collaborate with some of the most exciting brands in the world, turning ideas into tangible experiences that people actually want to keep. I’m excited to continue building a creative team that challenges what’s possible in our industry and pushes the work even further.”

Beyond his creative leadership, Gomez has championed operational innovation across Brilliant, developing more scalable creative workflows, improving cross-functional collaboration and introducing data-driven processes to support the company’s expansion, Brilliant added.
