Gifting & Direct Mail Platform Sendoso Acquires Merch.co

The deal marks Sendoso’s third acquisition in just over two years.

Key Takeaways

• Sendoso has acquired Merch.co, allowing it to control end-to-end merchandise production and building on its existing logistics capabilities.

• The deal formalizes an existing partnership and marks Sendoso’s third acquisition in recent years.

Gifting and direct mail platform Sendoso has inked a deal with Merch.co, a custom merchandising technology platform. According to a blog post by Abhay Rajaram, Sendoso’s co-CEO, the deal will allow the company to own production, in addition to the warehousing and shipping services it already provides.

“With Merch, we now operate the full supply chain,” he wrote, “from concept and mock-up, through sourcing, decoration, kitting and storage to final delivery, all on one platform, with global reach and with Sendoso people accountable at every step.”

Merch brands itself as an “all-in-one solution for custom merchandising.” Its technology integrates with the largest custom suppliers and fulfillment partners around the world, with the goal of streamlining each step of the production process.

The acquisition is built on a foundation that developed last year, when Merch became the exclusive partner of Sendoso’s automated merchandise program. According to Carson Hunt, vice president and general manager at Merch, the deal takes that partnership to the next level.

The deal marks Sendoso’s third acquisition in just over three years. The firm acquired Alyce, a personalization platform, in 2024 and gifting solutions company Postal in May of last year. According to Sendoso, the company will not push customers to use Merch.co for their production needs.

“You’ve built relationships with your vendors. You have brand standards, preferred suppliers and programs already in motion. That doesn’t change,” Rajaram said. “The Sendoso platform has always been built around optionality, the ability to send anything, source from anywhere and build a program that fits your brand. That principle isn’t going anywhere. What changes is that you now have access to another outstanding option, backed by Sendoso infrastructure you already trust.”

Merch operates a network of more than 100 production facilities and boasts direct relationships with suppliers and decorators globally.
