The Wisconsin-headquartered food gift supplier cooked up a headline-grabbing deal last July when it acquired Sweeter Cards, a Missouri-headquartered supplier of customized greeting cards that feature gourmet chocolate bars tucked inside.

Now, Maple Ridge is expanding the Sweeter Cards line by making the cards available with additional delectables as options, including chocolate-dipped pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, gummi bears and an expanded lineup of homestyle cookies.

“Our vision was to keep the ingenuity, storytelling and giftability of Sweeter Cards intact while unlocking more possibilities for flavors, occasions and scalability,” said Jodie Schillinger, executive vice president at Maple Ridge Farms, a Counselor Best Place to Work in the promotional products industry. “We’ve done just that, and the market response has been incredible.”

Indeed, Maple Ridge Farms President Tom Riordan said that since acquiring Sweeter Cards, the brand has become the supplier’s top seller. The enhanced product options aim to build on that momentum.

“With its expanded treat options and continued commitment to design-forward, brandable packaging, Sweeter Cards is now a go-to for corporate gifting, employee appreciation, client onboarding and seasonal campaigns,” Maple Ridge Farms said.

Stacy Stahl founded Sweeter Cards in 2019. The company made its name by using ethically sourced chocolate, recyclable card packaging and employing adults with disabilities. Sweeter Cards began as a retail venture and entered the promotional products industry in 2022.

Founded in 1979, Maple Ridge Farms’ offerings include naturally aged cheeses, premium chocolates, fresh-roasted nuts, made-from-scratch baked goods and smoked meats.
