Chameleon Like (asi/44558) has added another achievement to its growing tally of sustainability credentials. The Gilroy, CA-based supplier of journals, accessories and packaging announced that it has earned a Silver medal from business sustainability certification platform EcoVadis. The distinction puts Chameleon Like among the top 15% of more than 100,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis in the last 12 months.

Chameleon Like (asi/44558) supplies a variety of journals and paper products, many of which have sustainable features.

Achieving the Silver rating from EcoVadis is a meaningful validation – proof that our values are backed by credible and internationally recognized standards.”

EcoVadis provides a comprehensive assessment of a company’s performance in environmental and social governance across its supply chain, evaluating companies based on four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The platform uses an in-depth scoring system to help companies evaluate current practices and find opportunities for growth.

EcoVadis has rated more than 150,000 companies worldwide. The platform has become increasingly popular in the promo products industry. In April, Counselor Top 40 supplier HPG (asi/61966) announced that it had boosted its EcoVadis rating, receiving a Platinum medal, and Merchology (asi/169169) shared that it had received an EcoVadis Committed badge.

In addition to achieving a Silver rating from EcoVadis, Chameleon Like became a certified B Corp in 2023, which the supplier said actively renews and evolves its commitment to purpose-driven practices. The supplier also has Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification to ensure responsible sourcing of its paper materials and is a member of 1% for the Planet, contributing a portion of annual sales to environmental causes.

Chameleon Like notes that 95% of its products are made in the U.S. at its production facilities in Gilroy, CA, and Houston, TX.
