Blue Generation Partners With One Stop To Expand Midwest Distribution Capabilities

A partnership between Counselor Top 40 supplier Blue Generation (asi/40653) and Midwestern wholesale blanks supplier One Stop Inc. (asi/75085) aims to bring top styles to distributors in the Midwest.
The partnership will offer next-day delivery across Michigan and faster fulfillment throughout the larger region, according to Blue Generation.
“Partnering with One Stop is a natural next step in our strategy to get our bestselling styles closer to our customers,” said Matt Rubin, director of strategy at Blue Generation. “The Midwest is a critical market for us, and by leveraging One Stop’s Michigan warehouse, we’re able to offer one-day shipping in Michigan and significantly faster ordering across Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. We couldn’t ask for a better partner in One Stop.”
The partnership is the second of its kind this year for Blue Generation. In April, the Long Island City-based supplier announced a similar partnership with Apparel Coast to Coast (ACC, asi/37355), making core styles available through ACC’s Virginia facility. The partnership reduced transit times, offering one-day delivery to distributors in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina and South Carolina, and two-day delivery for those in Florida.
One Stop will begin by stocking a curated assortment of Blue Generation’s highest-volume bestselling polos in its Michigan distribution center. The full Blue Generation line will eventually be available via drop-ship, giving distributors access to the complete assortment regardless of stocking status, the supplier says.
Garments now in stock through One Stop include a value moisture-wicking polo (BG7300/6300), micropiqué wicking polo (BG7600/6600) and a 60/40-blend piqué polo (BG7204/6204).

Distributors who order through One Stop can also mix Blue Generation products with other brands, such as Lane Seven (asi/66246) and A4 Athletic Apparel (asi/30121), in a single order to hit free freight thresholds. As expectations for faster fulfillment grow and print-on-demand workflows that require quicker turnarounds become increasingly common, Blue Generation said this partnership aims to meet the industry’s growing demands by bringing core styles closer to the customer.
