Royal Apparel (asi/83731) has a new sourcing division born in part from its partnership with a Hall of Fame rock band.

The Hauppauge, NY-based supplier, known for domestically and sustainably made garments, has launched Basic Supply Co., a sourcing service that offers imported styles from Central America and Asia as additional solutions for distributors and decorators.

The company says its partnership with the classic rock band Rush, which includes branded apparel for the group’s ongoing Fifty Something tour to celebrate its 50th anniversary, revealed a need for offering a variety of price points, quality garments, decorator-friendly construction and flexible sourcing options.

“Working with Rush gave us valuable insight into what many customers are looking for today: flexibility, additional sourcing options and competitive pricing without sacrificing quality,” says Morey Mayeri, founder of Royal Apparel and a longtime fan of the band. “Those conversations helped inspire the creation of Basic Supply. We’re honored to be part of Rush’s 50th anniversary celebration and excited about what this new chapter means for our customers.”

The Rush Fifty Something anniversary tour merchandise program includes both imported Basic Supply products and select Made-in-USA styles from Royal Apparel.

The launch of Basic Supply is the latest expansion for Royal Apparel, which opened a San Bernardino, CA-based distribution center last fall and a second facility in Hauppauge in January.
