Ridgeland, MS-based The Specialty Company (asi/341203) is making a push into northeast Ohio, with the acquisition of Kreative Marketing Kompany. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Based in Solon, OH, KMK was founded 20 years ago by CEO Barry Jacobson, who has built a reputation for hands-on service and deep client loyalty, with many customer relationships spanning well over a decade, according to TSC.

Client relationships that last a decade or more don’t happen by accident. They happen because people consistently show up, serve well and earn trust over time.”

Riden added that “There is a strong cultural fit between our teams and a shared commitment to serving our people, our clients and our communities.”

Bringing the two organizations together, he said, will allow them to build on the strong foundation KMK has created, while also increasing future opportunities for employees and clients.

Jacobson said that joining TSC “feels like a natural next chapter” for his company.

“We share a commitment to excellence, a thoughtful approach to serving our clients and a genuine belief in making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work,” he added.

Jacobson will continue to lead the KMK team as director of sales, and the 16 employees of KMK will join TSC’s growing national team.

With the addition of KMK, TSC now has offices in Mississippi, Texas, Minnesota and Ohio, with approximately 70 team members companywide, including remote team members across the U.S., the Philippines and Azerbaijan.

This is TSC’s sixth acquisition in the past six years. In October 2024, TSC acquired Promotional Alliance in St. Paul, MN. TSC acquired Perfect Promotions & More (asi/293554) in Apex, NC, in February 2024. Other acquisitions include St. Louis, MO-based MPGTandem in December 2022; Sinking Spring, PA-based Lasting Image Promotional Products in April 2021; and Katy, TX-based Ice Blue Advertising in December 2020.

Founded in 1991, TSC offers promotional products programs, uniform systems, custom sourcing and fulfillment operations.
