“We’re excited to partner with iClick and bring their dynamic product lineup, including PopSockets, to our customers,” said CJ Schmidt, president and CEO of Hit Promotional Products and a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of the most influential people in promo. “iClick’s reputation for quality and innovation aligns perfectly with our commitment to offering trend-forward, high-impact products.”
Schmidt, the third-generation leader of Hit, was also named Counselor Person of the Year in 2024 for acting as a change agent at his family company, pushing it into new arenas like print-on-demand apparel fulfillment and growing revenue by hundreds of millions of dollars since taking on the lead role.
Jeff Roberts, CEO of iClick, said his company is thrilled to work with Hit. “Together, we’ll raise the bar for what’s possible and set a new standard for excellence, value and customer experience,” he said.
In addition to PopSockets, the initial launch will include products from Casely and other top sellers from iClick’s product line, with plans to expand the assortment in the future.
Over the last few years, supplier partnerships have become increasingly common as a way to diversify product lines and deepen inventory without having to make big investments in time and money to create their own versions of products offered by rival companies. Notable partnerships have included Counselor Top 40 supplier Cap America (asi/43792) partnering with fellow Top 40 suppliers PCNA (asi/66887) and Blue Generation (asi/40653) last year.
Hit and iClick are no strangers to partnerships. In January, iClick partnered with Counselor Top 40 supplier Vantage Apparel (asi/93390), enabling Vantage to sell iClick products through its web store platform.
Also in January, Hit teamed up with fellow Counselor Top 40 supplier Cutter & Buck (asi/47965), allowing Hit to design, manufacture and stock Cutter & Buck-branded hard goods. In 2023, Hit forged an alliance with Vancouver-based Top 40 supplier Stormtech (asi/89864), allowing it to carry and decorate the supplier’s apparel and bags.
A third-generation family-owned business that’s been around for more than half a century, Hit Promotional Products ranked fifth in Counselor’s most recent list of top suppliers in the industry, with 2024 North American promotional products revenue of $655.1 million.
