How To Make A Bad First Impression
The six worst things to do when meeting someone.
1. Show Up Late
Nobody likes waiting around for somebody else. Arriving on time, or early if possible, shows you value the person’s time. If you’re going to be late, let the customer know ASAP.

2. Talk Too Much
You can’t properly serve the customer unless you listen to what their needs are.
3. Check Your Phone
That text can wait. Keep your phone in your pocket and be attentive.
4. Bring Up Politics
You can easily offend someone by having a different opinion or professing yours too strongly, especially during an election year.
5. Forget Someone’s Name
Calling someone the wrong name or simply forgetting it is one of the most embarrassing things you can do. Only Robin Williams could get away with calling someone “chief.”
6. Ask When the Baby’s Due
There’s no coming back from implying a woman is pregnant when she isn’t.
