NBA Sends ‘Gift Locker’ to Top Draft Prospects
The locker was filled with high-end branded merchandise.
And the swag went on.
The NBA draft was virtual Wednesday, Nov. 18 (yeah, COVID again), but the NBA still saw to it that 30 top draft prospects received what just might be the queen bee of all direct-mail drop-shipped customized gift packages.

To help fuel the excitement and sense of momentous occasion that would come at an in-person draft, the NBA sent the 30 projected future stars an NBA Draft Gift Locker – an at-home chest of branded merchandise. It included products from NBA partners Spalding, New Era, Beats By Dre and Oculus.
Products included 30 New Era 9Fifty snapback hats – one for each team in the professional basketball league. Created in a classy gray base color scheme, the NBA had the hats specially made for the 2020 virtual draft. Other items were a personalized Spalding basketball, Beats Pill+Portable Speaker, Beats Studio3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones, Beats Flex Wireless Earphones and an Oculus 2 Headset.
Players – it’s safe to say – were excited:
