Ahad Resigns from PPPC, Strauss Named Interim CEO
The Promotional Product Professionals of Canada (PPPC) has announced that Ed Ahad has resigned as President & CEO, and Jonathan Strauss, president of Strauss Event & Association Management, has been appointed the interim President & CEO. Strauss’s company is a 16-year member of the PPPC.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and all PPPC members, we extend our thanks to Ed for his commitment and contributions to the PPPC over the past eight years,” said the PPPC in a statement. “Ed has been a steadfast advocate for our industry and we wish him the very best in the next chapter of his career.”
In 1995, Strauss, an experienced association executive and entrepreneur, established Strauss Event & Association Management, a full-service association management company that provides services to nine associations, and event management and consulting to six additional entities. His appointment at the PPPC is effective immediately.
“The first two months for me at PPPC are all about listening,” Strauss told ASI Canada. “I’ll spend most of January and February meeting with members and learning about what they need from their Canadian association. I’ll then work with the board of the PPPC to develop a plan for the future focused on being a uniquely Canadian association. I look forward to connecting with many members on all sides of the business and working with the leaders of the industry to grow and strengthen the PPPC.”
