ASI’s 2026 Ad Impressions Study: Ontario, Canada

Exclusive research from ASI explores the powerful impact and influence of promotional products.

ASI’s 2026 Ad Impressions Study provided one of our most comprehensive looks at the value, effectiveness and impact of promotional products, particularly when it comes to how branded products influence buying decisions with a low cost-per-impression. Now, we’re spotlighting stats around individual product categories, research questions and specific international markets worth taking a second look at.

Ontario is the largest province in Canada by population, home to over 16 million people and Canada’s most populous city, Toronto. And it’s a population that is particularly enthusiastic about promo, with 95% of consumers in the province reporting that they would have a more favorable view of an advertiser after receiving a promotional item – more than any other province surveyed by ASI Research.

These consumers are also among the most likely in Canada to value the appearance in the promo that they receive. More than half of consumers in Ontario said that they would keep a promotional item because of its attractiveness, more than other Canadian provinces.
