Events are back and here to stay. Make your distributorship stronger than ever by becoming the go-to source for event essentials. There's more to successful events than just selling products, however. Keep these considerations top of mind while servicing your clients and you'll win their event business for years to come.

#1. Quality Matters Above All Else 

For most promo categories, it’s advised to present a variety of options to speak to different price points. However, you should avoid this tactic unless you can guarantee all your event items are top quality. Because items like shelters and signage need to withstand the elements and the test of time, it’s simply not worth it for your clients to sacrifice quality for cost. Cheap lookalikes will break down over time and your clients will end up back where they started – and they certainly won’t place their order with you again.

Prevent this from happening entirely and present only high-quality products from the start. Be sure to vet your suppliers before you meet with clients to ensure the event items you’re suggesting are up to par. 

PRO TIP: Be sure to educate clients on why it's worth it to invest in quality. While they might spend a little more up front, they'll be able to keep using event products for years to come, resulting in an extremely affordable cost-per-impression in the long run.
