Reflections, Predictions After a Year in a Pandemic
ASI staffers talk about an unprecedented year and how it will shape their future.
It’s been one year since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic and huge swaths of the American workforce, including ASI staffers, began working from home. The last year has upended the way we work, conduct business and socialize, but will any of those changes stick when this is all over? And do we want them to?
In this episode of Promo Insiders, ASI Media editors Theresa Hegel, Sara Lavenduski and Christopher Ruvo reflect on what it was like reporting on the coronavirus before it reached the U.S. and how rapidly the situation escalated last year and the changes they’ve seen in their own lives. They also predict which changes from 2020 are likely to stick going forward. Masks? Probably temporary. Slowing down and focusing on quality family time? Hopefully permanent.
