Ready for Spring

ASI Media’s Sara Lavenduski and Sami Marshak discuss all things spring – including sales tips for distributors – and try out fun seasonal treats.

Spring is in the air, and the season of tasty candy, fresh flowers and green grass poses a myriad of sales opportunities for distributors.

ASI Media Executive Editor Sara Lavenduski and Data Analytics Editor Sami Marshak teamed up to discuss campaign ideas based on the sunny weather, and tried fun – and unique – treats, like cotton candy-flavored Peeps, egg-shaped Twix bars, Space Dunk Oreos and edible Easter grass.

Marshak recommended looking to spring amateur sports teams for sales, such as youth league or high school soccer, lacrosse, and track and field. “Think about what types of products would go with those specific sports,” she said. “Suggest performance headwear, travel bags, portable chairs for spectators, and towels. Also consider outdoor sponsorships for walkathons and marathons and giveaways at outdoor events. New season, new opportunities.”
