The Top 40 supplier dedicated a percentage of drinkware sales to help build water filtration systems for communities in need.

Top 40 supplier Hit Promotional Products (asi/61125) has donated $75,000 to help bring safe drinking water and sanitation to communities in need.

The Largo, FL-based firm partnered with industry philanthropy group PromoCares for its Water4Good campaign, in support of the nonprofit Planet Water Foundation, which builds AquaTower water filtration systems around the world.

In April and May, Hit Promotional Products dedicated a percentage of drinkware sales to the fundraiser, ultimately donating $50,000 to Planet Water in the spring. The campaign was so successful that Hit decided to continue it in the third quarter of 2023.

“I am proud to announce Hit Promotional Products has partnered again with PromoCares and the Water4Good initiative, and we will contribute to the build of additional AquaTowers in an effort to provide safe and clean drinking water to the children and communities,” said C.J. Schmidt, CEO of Hit and a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of the most influential people in promo.

This week, Hit donated an additional $25,000 to the Water4Good campaign, bringing its overall contribution to $75,000.

Also this week, PromoCares volunteers traveled to Mexico to install the first series of water filtration systems made possible through the Water4Good initiative. The Planet Water Foundation’s AquaTowers are gravity-based filtration systems that can operate without the need for external power and provide six safe drinking water access points with integrated liquid soap dispensers for handwashing. The systems produce 1,000 liters of drinking water per hour and are capable of supporting the daily drinking water requirements of up to 1,800 people, according to the nonprofit.

Hit has been expanding its drinkware offerings, recently adding BrüMate products to its lineup. Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $610.9 million, Hit ranked sixth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
