“We recognize the importance of taking care of our planet and are proud to do our part by implementing sustainable practices in our business operations,” said Jim Concannon, operations manager and ISO representative for Orbus.

As part of its sustainability initiatives, Orbus said it has built and maintained a comprehensive recycling program that includes separating recycled waste into categories such as cardboard, paper, aluminum, fabric, steel and other.

Since 2010, Orbus has had ISO 14001:2015 certification, which recognizes the company’s environmental management system designed to minimize impact on the environment in the design, manufacture and storage of trade show displays and accessories. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, nongovernmental organization with a membership of 168 national standards bodies. ISO says it has developed more than 24,000 standards, covering almost all aspects of technology, management and manufacturing.

Orbus was recently lauded for its sustainability efforts in the 2022 Best in Biz awards, receiving a bronze award for environmental responsibility. In addition to its ISO 14001:2015 certification, Orbus is also registered to ISO 9001:2015 for the highest manufacturing quality standards. In addition to its Chicago suburbs headquarters, Orbus has supply and manufacturing operations in Las Vegas; Charlotte, NC; and Toronto.
