Tom Overstreet was nothing if not loyal.

He began working at North Carolina-based apparel supplier Badger Sportswear (asi/37876) in 1984.

Rising to the position of vice president of manufacturing of Badger Sportswear/Founder Sports Group, he would remain with the company for nearly 39 years until his passing away at age 62 on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Outside work, Overstreet was fond of a round of golf and a game of cards with friends. The Philadelphia native also enjoyed the freedom of cruising on his motorcycle and traveling.

Educated at Auburn University and Georgia Tech, Overstreet was a North Carolina resident and father of three adult children. In addition to his children, he is survived by his mother, JoAnn, mother-in-law Doris Coats, and three grandchildren – Aden Ennis, Collin Ennis and Anna Cashion.

Overstreet, whose given name was James Thomas Overstreet, was predeceased by his wife, Lark Wilborn Overstreet, and his father, Jimmy Overstreet.

Following a Sunday, Dec. 11 funeral, family and friends are planning to gather to celebrate Overstreet’s memory at his favorite spot – East Coast Wings.
