The Los Angeles-based distributor rose three spots thanks to an 80% year-over-year revenue increase. The sales escalation resulted, in part, from an integration that centered on bringing the branded uniform business of HPI (which, like BAMKO, is part of parent company Superior Group of Companies) under the BAMKO umbrella in 2022. BAMKO also grew sales thanks to large-scale projects and program business, as well as the acquisition in May last year of Guardian Products, described as a leading provider of promo to automotive dealerships.

In the first quarter of 2023, BAMKO suffered a 15.7% year-over-year revenue decline as demand from clients in the technology and gig economy markets softened. Executives said the outlook was brightening in Q2. “We’re actively focusing on increasing wallet share from our existing client base and the aggressive acquisition of new customers,” said President Jake Himelstein, a member of Counselor’s Power 50, when the Q1 results were released.
