The supplier of glassware and candles made of reclaimed glass will soon offer official items to commemorate the seven FIFA matches to be hosted in Vancouver, BC, in June and July.
Key Takeaways
• Vancouver, BC-based Mosa has secured official FIFA World Cup 2026 licensing for its reclaimed-glass products.
• Founders Abhi Mishra and Prishita Agarwal started cutting recycled bottles in a University of British Columbia dorm room and have since expanded into full production facilities in Vancouver and Montreal.
• By transforming reclaimed bottles into drinkware and soy candles, Mosa positions its merchandise as practical.
Vancouver, BC-based Mosa, a supplier of glassware and candles made of reclaimed glass, has been named an Official Licensed Product partner for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in British Columbia. Vancouver will host seven matches in June and July at the BC Place stadium.

Maple-scented soy candles made from reclaimed glass are one of the officially licensed FIFA World Cup items available from Vancouver, BC-based Mosa.
The FIFA products soon to be available from Mosa include cups, steins, tapered beer glasses, mugs, shot glasses and candles with hand-poured maple- and pine-scented soy wax – all made of reclaimed glass bottles.
“The FIFA World Cup is coming to our city, and we wanted to create something that actually reflects what Vancouver stands for: sustainability, local craft and quality that lasts beyond the tournament,” said Abhi Mishra, co-founder and director of sales at Mosa. “This isn’t a souvenir you throw away. It’s one you keep.”
The FIFA licensing process required a multistep review of product category, positioning, design submissions and compliance checks, before final approval of the products, branding and production standards.
Almost four years ago, Mishra and Prishita Agarwal, co-founder and CEO, started Mosa in the dormitories at the University of British Columbia where they were students. They realized how much glass waste was generated on campus and how much could be recycled instead.
“We came upon upcycling,” said Mishra. “It creates a circular economy. We started cutting bottles in my dorm room – our friends liked them, and that was the first checkmark.”

Abhi Mishra and Prishita Agarwal founded Mosa in the dormitories at the University of British Columbia.
Mishra and Agarwal started selling their reclaimed drinkware to friends and the local community, and added candles to the collection. Then, an organization came to them with a big ask: 500 candles in 10 days.
“We said, ‘Absolutely’,” said Mishra. “We delivered it on time, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. They said they had been doing the same promo each year, but these were items that recipients could use again – it was a good gift they could keep and use.”
Now, the company has facilities in Vancouver and Montreal, where they collect reclaimed bottles from bars, restaurants, recycling facilities and scrapyards. Then the glass is cut, the candles poured and the labels and packaging are printed, all in house.
“As a Vancouver-based brand,” said Mishra, “our focus on locally made, upcycled products aligned well with the opportunity to create host city-specific merchandise.”
Mosa’s FIFA-licensed products can be preordered here and will soon be available at retail.
Vancouver and Toronto are the two Canadian host cities for the FIFA World Cup, which is being held across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico this summer beginning June 12. Many distributors said they haven’t yet seen a sales boom from the upcoming tournament but are expecting a ramp up to come soon.
