The announcement comes just a couple years after the supplier merged with Mason City, IA-based supplier Jay Plastics.
“North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corp., the city of Mason City and city leadership have been instrumental as we considered this move,” said Sean Fraser, vice president of sales at Graphik.
Fraser added that Graphik evaluated several cities ahead of the relocation decision, but “Mason City was the right choice because of the people.”
According to Graphik, this consolidation also includes a $1 million capital outlay for a 126-inch hybrid LED-UV press that:
• Handles rigid sheets and roll media up to 3.2 meters wide and 2 inches thick
• Prints four colors plus opaque white in single-pass multilayer builds for backlit or day-night graphics
• Switches between continuous-board and dual-roll modes to maximize throughput
• Delivers photo-quality resolution for POP displays, short-run packaging, fleet graphics and interior signage while reducing waste thanks to cool-cure LED technology
According to Graphik, these capabilities shorten lead times and elevate color fidelity for regional brand owners.
