“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Gill said in an interview with Counselor, about leaving Thumbprint (asi/293564), the Florida-based distributorship his father Greg founded in 1994 that was acquired by ScreenBroidery in 2025. “But I’ve never had the opportunity to lead a company of this size and scale before. Now I’m settling in and learning about the talent here and identifying opportunities to sell even more to our clients.”
Gill joined his father’s company in 2001 and was most recently its CRO – now, he’s the newest member of TSG’s lean executive team that also includes COO Joe Falcone, one of TSG’s founders, whom Gill has known for about 10 years.
“TSG grew by acquisition, and they’re very kind and generous to the brands they’ve purchased,” he said. “But now we’re working on what TSG feels and sounds like, our brand voice. Who is TSG? Who do we want to be when we grow up? We’re developing a vision and getting everyone onboard.”
Moving forward, Gill is focusing on TSG’s ambitious companywide goal to hit $500 million in revenue across all business channels by 2031, as well as mentoring the next generation of leadership at the organization.
“I’ve been at one company my whole life,” he said. “It’s fun not to know my way around. I’m enjoying the journey.”
Outside of the promotional products industry, the company also does significant business in the print sector through top verticals like healthcare, hospitality and finance. With 2024 North American promotional products-specific revenue of $56 million, TSG ranked 35th on Counselor’s most recent list of the industry’s largest distributors. The new list is due out in July.
