In his new role, Escalona will be responsible for leading alignment and execution for the Canadian market, which the firm has doubled down on through continued investments in leadership, customer experience and operational growth, S&S says.
“Canada remains a key growth market,” said Toby Whitmoyer, chief commercial officer at S&S Activewear. “We’re investing in the leadership, infrastructure and capabilities needed to better serve our customers today and well into the future.”
Escalona comes to S&S with more than 20 years of experience in sales and operational leadership in the Canadian and Mexican markets. Most recently, he served as vice president of national field sales at Bimbo Canada, where he led a national sales organization and a network of independent distributors for nearly 12 years. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Bimbo’s Mexico arm in various strategy and management roles.
“Enrique is a proven leader with deep experience building high-performing teams and leading commercial excellence,” Whitmoyer added. “His track record of driving results, combined with his customer-centric approach and operational expertise, makes him the ideal leader to guide our Canadian business through its next chapter of growth.”
S&S has spent the last few years investing heavily in its Canadian arm. In June of last year, the supplier announced an initiative to expand inventory offerings across its S&S Canada distribution centers, particularly in Vancouver. In August of 2025, Montreal-based Gildan (asi/56842), also a Counselor Top 40 supplier, announced an exclusive partnership with S&S for its Canadian print wear market.
“I’m excited to join S&S as it continues to invest in its Canadian business and strengthen support for customers across the market,” Escalona said. “S&S has built a strong foundation in Canada, and I look forward to working alongside the team to deepen customer relationships, drive operational excellence and help accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.”
Founded in 1988, S&S Activewear ranks second on Counselor’s most recent list of the top suppliers in the industry based on 2024 North American promotional products revenue of $3.6 billion. New rankings will be released in July.
