The Counselor Top 40 distributor announced June 5 that attendance at its national sales meeting exceeded 800 – the largest-ever turnout for the annual event, which this year was called Break Through Summit 2025. Attendees included account executives, HALO staffers and suppliers.
There was time for networking and collaboration in a scenic setting at HALO’s Break Through Summit 2025.
“The energy and enthusiasm from both our sales team and our suppliers was the most positive of any national sales meeting we’ve hosted,” said Terry McGuire, HALO’s senior vice president of supplier relations. “The collaboration, ideation and relationship building provided strong optimism for revenue growth opportunities as we move into the second half of the year.”
According to HALO, more than 170 suppliers attended the summit, which the distributorship held at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, CA. Beyond the trade show featuring these suppliers, the event’s offerings were many: immersive onsite activations, custom giveaways and more than 30 supplier-led training sessions for HALO sales pros.

“Break Through Summit is a catalyst for growth, not just in numbers, but in capability,” said Jim Stutz, HALO’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our sales team left energized, equipped with new strategies and ready to elevate the value they bring to clients in a rapidly evolving marketplace.”
HALO said attendees also participated in sales training sessions led by company leaders. Topics included client growth, prospecting and unlocking opportunities through HALO’s capabilities. A centerpiece discussion featured McGuire and Frank Carpenito, CEO of Counselor Top 40 supplier Gemline (asi/56070), talking tariffs, pricing and uncovering opportunities in a fast-changing marketplace.
The summit featured a Women’s Leadership Event, which offered participants insights on building a personal brand. There were also happenings for top performers, including a BMW driving experience and golf at PGA West. HALO welcomed new account executives with a special reception.
“Our account executives are the engine of our growth, and this event is designed to help our teams and partners push the boundaries of what’s possible for their clients,” said Marc Simon, HALO CEO and, like Carpenito, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people. “Year after year, our signature event continues to significantly exceed expectations.”
With more than 1,900 employees in 42 global offices, HALO’s clients include more than 135 of the Fortune 500, as well as thousands of small and midsize organizations. Based on reported 2023 North American promotional product revenue of $937.7 million, HALO ranked second on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry. The new list is due out this summer.
