Counselor Top 40 distributor Custom Ink (asi/173232) says that it’s adding talent at the top.
The Virginia-based company, which sells merch direct to consumers through an e-commerce model, has hired Arthur Chapin as chief product, design and technology officer while also promoting Bailey Rockwell Adrian to vice president of power buyers – a role that will have her serving as the general manager of a new unit focused on these high-value customers.
In his C-suite position, Chapin will lead Custom Ink’s newly centralized product, design and technology initiatives. He brings nearly 25 years of experience to Custom Ink, having most recently been chief growth officer at Move Inc./Realtor.com.
Before that, he worked for more than two decades at Expedia Group, holding an array of roles that had him responsible for things like product, tech and design. At Expedia Group, Custom Ink noted, Chapin led the organizational unification and platform strategy that brought Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo onto one technology platform.
Chapin will report to Custom Ink CEO David Doctorow, with whom he previously worked.
“Arthur brings a wealth of experience and a customer-first mindset to Custom Ink,” said Doctorow. “I had the pleasure of seeing Arthur’s leadership firsthand, as he championed collaboration, equity and design thinking at Expedia and Realtor.com. I look forward to working with him to build and deliver innovative digital products for Custom Ink that uniquely serve our customers.”

She has also served as vice president of strategic initiatives, director of strategic development and director of stores. She, too, will report to Doctorow, who became CEO of Custom Ink last July.
“Bailey is the perfect person to bring together our diverse assets in the swag management space,” said Doctorow. “Her deep understanding of our organization and our customers will help us ensure we provide the right products, services and support for high-volume corporate customers.”
Based on estimated 2023 North American promo product revenue of $650 million, Custom Ink ranked fourth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
