Commonsku has created a new chief AI officer role.

The company, a promo business and sales software firm based in Toronto, announced that Bobby Lehew will step into the position, building on a 30-year career in promo and a passion for technology.

“The industry is at an inflection point with AI, and distributors need a partner who understands their business,” said commonsku CEO Catherine Graham. “Commonsku has always been built ‘by promo, for promo.’ Bobby has three decades of that expertise, a passion for helping our customers, and the strategic insight to shape AI tools for future growth.”

Lehew has spent the last decade as commonsku’s chief content officer, where he has written and spoken about AI developments and opportunities in promotional products. Before joining the company, he was the chief branding officer at Oklahoma City-based distributor ROBYN Promotions (asi/309656), a role he held for 25 years. In his new role as chief AI officer, Lehew will own the intelligence loop between customers, product and the AI landscape, commonsku said.
