Counselor Top 40 supplier Koozie Group (asi/40480) just donated more than $26,000 to regional United Way chapters, thanks to its writing instrument giveback program. The latest round of generosity brings Koozie Group’s total support since 2022 to more than half a million dollars.
Over the last three years, Koozie Group has committed to donating 5% of writing instrument sales that referenced a code to regional chapters of the United Way in Florida and Minnesota where its facilities are located. To date, the program has generated over $55,000 in cash donations to three chapters of the charity: United Way Suncoast in Tampa, FL; United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties in Red Wing, MN; and United Way of the Brown County Area in New Ulm, MN.

In addition to cash, the supplier has also been giving in-kind donations to the organization since 2022, support that has reached nearly $450,000. Employees especially enjoy participating in annual back-to-school events that benefit children in their communities. Each year, Koozie Group delivers 2,000 backpacks filled with markers, crayons, pencils, water bottles and other items to the three United Way chapters. Other notable support has included hurricane relief efforts in Florida.

Koozie Group said it will continue its writing instrument giveback program in 2025, with 10% of net sales (up to $20,000) of the Bic Ferocity Clic gel pen (FCLGEL) being donated to the same United Way chapters. The supplier noted that distributors will no longer need to reference a special code for their purchase to make a positive impact.
Koozie Group ranked seventh on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry with a reported 2023 North American promotional products revenue of $317 million. Through Keep It. Give It., Koozie Group’s social impact and sustainability program, the supplier has reached a number of milestones, including offering more than 1,900 products carrying its KG Factor designation, indicating promo solutions that lessen environmental impact through longevity. The supplier is also certified CarbonNeutral, and its domestic facilities are certified either through the Forest Stewardship Council or Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
