Pierre Montaubin, the CEO of Counselor Top 40 supplier Koozie Group (asi/40480), was central to one of the biggest announcements of the year in promo, when it was revealed that the supplier was being acquired by private equity firm Mill Point Capital – and that it would subsequently combine with fellow Counselor Top 40 supplier Garyline (asi/55990), which is also part of Mill Point’s portfolio.

“Being acquired by a new financial sponsor in the current economic environment was a challenge in itself,” Montaubin says. “The team did a fantastic job representing the company while staying focused on the needs of our customers. I couldn’t be prouder of them. We’re very happy and excited by this milestone. This shows how attractive our industry is to investors, which is a good thing.”

Montaubin says that 2026 will bring even more product and service lines to a supplier that is known for its wide array of products and its industry-leading position in sustainability.

“[We plan to] grow with our existing customers through our current and future product and service offerings,” he says. “We have a few brands we will introduce in 2026 that are exciting, and we will expand our services to include a print-on-demand service, as well as contract decorating. 2026 is bound to be a great year.”
