Marcy Lazarus, president of Promotional Breezes (asi/300734), died on September 27 in Boynton Beach, FL. She was 64.

Born in Manhattan, Lazarus pursued a career in special education before marrying her husband Bill, and following him into the promotional products industry. Bill launched Promotional Images in 1985 and Marcy worked as a receptionist while they lived in Emerson, NJ, later moving to River Vale, NJ. In 1999, Bill sold the company to Allied Office Products, which was later acquired by Office Depot, Inc.

In 2004, Bill opened Promotional Breezes and Marcy served as president of the company until her passing. “She was very supportive of my father,” said her son Steven Lazarus, who has been running the company for the past three years.

Steven said she’ll be remembered for her pink lipstick, sweet and sour meatballs, and her passion for bringing people of different backgrounds together. At her funeral last Thursday, about 600 people came to pay their respects. “She was very, very loved,” Steven said.

Marcy is survived by her husband Bill; her son Steven and daughter Alli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jayne and Ed Hollander; her nieces, cousins, and many, many friends.
