Health Canada Recalls Barstools Due to Laceration Risk
Health Canada has recalled fabric and rubberwood barstools sold by Bouclair Inc., in Pointe Claire, QC. The front wooden footrest on the stools can break, posing a laceration hazard. So far, Bouclair has received one report of a cut, with minor injuries.
The barstools, made in China, have a beige or gray back and seat, wooden legs and a hang tag that reads 9384419, 9391753 or 9391754. They measure about 18.5” wide, by 22” deep by 38.2” high. Only those barstools sold before January 1, 2018 are included in the recall.
An estimated 5,776 units were sold in Canada between September 2015 and November 2017.
Customers are advised to stop using the recalled barstools immediately and to contact Bouclair at (800) 268-2524 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for a product adjustment.
