Distributor Recalls Ottawa Senators Infant Bodysuits
Health Canada, in conjunction with Mississauga, ON-based Reward Connections Inc. (asi/307656), has issued an official recall for infant bodysuits. The metal snaps on the bodysuit can detach, posing a choking hazard. Reward Connections, the importer of the garments, has received one report of metal snaps detaching, though no injuries have been reported.
The red bodysuits have the Ottawa Senators ice hockey logo on the front and the Canadian Tire logo on the right sleeve. Made in China, about 5,100 were sold in Canada.
“This product was purchased through Blessing Promo Inc. (asi/37761) starting in October 2017 and distributed until November 2017,” Todd Driscoll, president of Reward Connections, told Counselor. “However, since Reward Connections is the importer into Canada, all Canadian consumer product safety concerns need to be addressed by Reward Connections.”
Consumers are advised to stop use of the garments immediately, and to contact Reward Connections for return and disposal instructions. Reward Connections can be contacted at (905) 238-8445 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, or by email at customerservice@rewardconnections.com.
