Wearing face coverings is not going away any time soon. Face coverings are still required, or at least requested, at most major retailers.

Beginning in late July and early August 2020, most major retailers required customers to wear masks to shop in their stores. Many thought this would be a short-term requirement. More than two months later, there's no clear end in sight.
