With millions of people still working remotely, think home items like kitchen tools, takeout gift cards, tech accessories, self-care items and sweet treats for sharing with the family (or not). More family time is also conducive for puzzles and games, and pet collars, sweaters and bowls can make appearances on video calls.
“Customize the gift as much as possible. Set up a temporary website with a survey ahead of time…so it’s tailored to what they would actually want.”— Theresa Hegel
Consider gift bundles that can be drop-shipped to residential addresses, and make sure they include PPE, especially masks and sanitizer, since it’s going to be in demand for a long time to come. Research different styles and colors of masks and bundle them in wellness kits for recipients to use daily.
If clients aren’t sure they can afford gifts this year, find out if there’s a way to repurpose what’s already been budgeted for their in-person end-of-year holiday event that isn’t happening. That may open the door for gifting opportunities they haven’t yet considered.
