Brudenell will be responsible for bringing new awareness to the brands, supporting key accounts and spurring growth for PCA, which manufactures writing instruments in Linden, NJ.

“We are thrilled to have Ian join our team,” said Colleen Shea, vice president of sales. “His experience in the promotional products industry and specifically his expertise in the writing instrument category is the ideal combination for us. There are many exciting, innovative opportunities on the horizon now that Ian is onboard.”

Brudenell previously was in a sales executive role with Top 40 supplier HPG (asi/61966), having begun his eight-year run with the company with Hub Pen, which became the foundational brand to 2017-formed HPG.

In this Promo Insiders podcast, Colleen Shea of Pen Company of America (asi/76811) shares the history of her family’s 95-year-old writing instrument company and their commitment to keeping all production in New Jersey.

Brudenell’s roughly 15 years in promo includes time spent in a director's position on the Northwest Promotional Marketing Association's (NWPMA) board. Other past positions include account manager at Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601), according to PCA. He also managed his own small distributorship for a time.

“I look forward to applying my experience and industry knowledge to the brand as we take PCA, AAWI and Garland to the next level,” said Brudenell. “In a time where so many suppliers are going overseas, I am humbled to be a part of a true, all-American company with a rich history and reputation.”
